I've always been amazed how many times we can look at the same scene and never notice what's right before our eyes.
Take this tree for example.
I know I've looked at it a hundred times. But on one particular day I looked up and noticed this face staring back at me.
At first I wasn't sure that what I saw was really there. But staring at it longer I knew it was a face. The longer I stared, the more features I noticed.
But what did it mean? Does it mean anything? Is it the result of totally random circumstances that produced this ghoulish effect? Or is there some deeper significance?
My first thought was of Edvard Munch's famous painting, The Scream. Or maybe it was the mask from the movie, Scream. Or perhaps this is just a tree screaming in anguish over the way man is destroying the environment around it.
